feeaaaaaaaar me.
Hey you, don't just stand there.
this prima donna name's TING for short
happily ATTACHED ; since 160508♥
borned and raised in sunny little SINGAPORE 6th JUNE is a VERY IMPORTANT day
i'm a GEMINI
how i wish my life was different
whatever course i want to take up is being narrowed down tremendously.
i know, and at the same time don't know, what i want. does it make sense?
i have an idea. a vague idea.
but the thing now is....i don't know if i can further my studies now or not.
in the end, it all boils down to financial status. that's pretty much what I'm facing now.
i have so much going on in my mind.
i really need to talk to someone now...
someone to guide me out of this seemingly dark path that doesn't seem to end.
and i need to let out my pent up frustration.
it's frustrating. i'm frustrated.
i just want to do what i love,
and love what i do.
but it ain't as easy as it sounds.
i am super relieved that i passed all my subjects and can graduate peacefully coming May. PHEW!
i can now relax and stop worrying about my results already (:
FINALLY!
just gotta wait for graduation day now, wheeee~ (:
//whispers// by the way, i love my manicure nail art design i had done for my thumb. i think i shall do that for graduation, with a few other touches to it, and of course, fill in designs for the other fingers! //end whispers//
Friday, 12th March, 2010 --> occasion --> celebrate cyn's birthday
result: dinner to celebrate the girl's birthday without the birthday girl.
lesson learn: not going back to Plaza Sing's Cafe Cartel again.
seats had been reserved a couple of days before since at Cafe Cartel.
when we got there, it turned out that they didn't reserve any seats for us and there wasn't anyone on their list of reservations called Mr Lai.
first bad impression.
second, when you order soup, the garlic bread will always come with the soup yes?
noooo, the soup came first and half way while serving the main dishes, the garlic bread comes, when the soup was long finished and taken away. what the...?
and thridly!
their mushroom steak whatever didn't taste as great as they claim it to be.
they even have those small posters hanging from the ceiling with a big start saying favorite.
favorite indeed /hint hint sarcasm/
please, it didn't even look appetizing.
i'm still irritated by them. roar!
like so whatever.
and in the end, both other girls didn't make it to dinner.
so yes, we celebrated the birthday without the birthday girl.
well, at least they turned up for the movie.hahaa (;
Alice in Wonderland is NICE.
what wasn't nice was that jw booked the seats 3rd row from the front /shakes head and sigh/
lovelovelove johnny depp.
and the Cheshire cat! (:
so, have you any idea why a raven is like a writing desk?
when you graduate with a diploma in a subject you have totally no interest in, you stumble upon a dilemma when it comes to job hunting.
i do not, at all, want to go into the IT line or work.
i will DIE a terrible death in that industry!
i mean, come on, can you see me in the IT industry, surviving AND having a wonderful time there?
seriously.
answer: a BIG FAT NO.
why is it so difficult to find a job that is: a) appealing to me/interesting
and b) not much requirements needed (like, need to have this diploma or that diploma and need how many years of experience..)
experience is all nice and dandy yes but then what about people like me who are interested in learning the ropes but don't have the qualifications/requirements/whatsoever?!
rooooooooooooar!
and then,i have to decide what course i want to go into...but full time courses are so expensive and i havn't seen much part time courses that have my attention.
i really really want to pursue something that is in my list of interest.
the future looks so bleak and full of uncertainty.
yes, i am uneasy about my future, pray help me.
sigh. the ailments of graduating indead!
on a side note, being addicted to WheeSung's version of Craig David's Insomia.
Addictive yes?
Awesomeness that he was handpicked by Craig David himself to do an Asian version of this song (:
my hands are itching to write something!anything!
i just can't seem to get started on that something!
finally, the trip to Genting which we all had been waiting for, a time to relax and let go of the stress we had for exams which had only ended a few days before the trip.
the ride was long. and boring. we slept most of the ride away.
luckily the seats were very spacious (: well, let me recall the moments and fun we had on this clique trip (:
looking at all the photos really brings back wonderful memory. get ready for a super long post....
Day One, Tuesday, 1st March 2010 we stayed at First World Hotel, a 3-star hotel...
i would have preferred at least a 4-star hotel, like Resort World or something, but since we were budgeting, this had to do.
it was alright though, not much to complain about, 2 people to a room makes it cosy and just right (:
shared a room with cyn, which was just awesome.
we didn't do much the first day, the ride just to get there took about..6 hours it think it was? so by the time we got there it was already 2.30pm or so. then we had to wait for our turn to check in and get our room numbers. so even more waiting. and what to do while one waits? cam-whore (: the lighting outside was fantastic, no need to photoshop at all.
after finally getting our room numbers, first thing we did, well, first thing cyn and i did, was to start unpacking (: then start slacking a little (which equates to cam-whoring and gossiping) before walking at the shopping mall there while the guys went to one of the arcades.
dinner at pizza hut, before going back to the hotel to rest for the night. but you know things don't go as planned and we ended up going for another walk with the intention of drinking, slacking outside, enjoying the cold weather and attempt to enter the casino which sadly, i was unable to enter.
after either clubbing or arcade-ing, made our way back to the hotel to continue the slacking process in mine and cyn's room. ended up splitting up to conclude the end of day 1 at about 2pm plus or after - can't really remember. of coz, for girls, it means staying up a little later gossiping before welcoming dreamland (:
Day 2, Wednesday, 2nd March 2010 woke early to have breakfast. breakfast was just bleh...nothing much, nothing fantastic. oh, bumped into Darren there. he was there with his own clique. lols. apparently, lots of other NYP-ians will be over at Genting during the next couple of days too. after breakfast, on to the theme park! thanks to ade for getting us discounts for the tickets!
the theme park was fun, small but still fun nonetheless. i sat a roller coaster for the first time. i held a parrot for the first time. and a snake for the first time too! we spent the entire morning and almost the entire afternoon there. us girls did take a break for awhile while the guys went to try archery and stuffs.
ju and i took this opportunity to basically take a ton of photos at the London bus and phone booth. slacking inside the London bus is actually really comfortable. it's a good place to slack.
by the end of the day, i had with me 3 bears to bring home. one small blue bear, one medium bear boyf won for me, and a big very cuddly bear which i won and gave to boyf to keep (: cyn had a big brown bear which jw exchanged for a grey one. there was this one guy who won hell lot of bears, he was practically camping out at that stall.seriously.
so after all the excitement, rest at the hotel before heading down the hill to mushroom farm for a wonderful dinner! we opted to walk instead of cabbing. the view was beautiful, the weather was great. dinner was a feast, just wonderful. but walking back up that hill to get back to the hotel...not so great.
we shopped a little before we split into 2 groups, me and the girls plus jw and wong were slacking and having midnight snacks at my room. starbucks and candy floss, going high with ade- hell of fun (: the other group (which was the rest of the guys) missed the fun, too bad! the day ended early, with us getting sun-burnt. yes, we got sun burnt in Genting -.-
Day 3, Thursday, 3rd March 2010
the day we are leaving Genting... totally shouldve taken the 4 days 3 night package instead. time went by so fast. we wake up, go for breakfast, some have their last ride on the Superman ride just outside the theme park and soon we find ourselves checking out the hotel...then boarding the bus, and then proceeding to begin our journey home.
thank goodness for the big cuddly bears, made sleeping on the bus so much more comfortable. i miss my big bear bear! ): it was pure luck that i won it!
the time we spent was pure fun and joy. already there's talk about another trip before the guys starts their National Service. i look forward to having another trip with all 10 of us again. but whether i will be going or not would depend on several situations. shall see how it goes.
